I have deep seated thanks to these fine families for choosing Faux-Toes for these precious moments in their lives. Aren't their families just gorgeous? Some sessions were shot in Mayfield park, others were in Spanish Oaks and yet another in the Hamilton Greenbelt in Lakeway. I'm just a fan of nature and families being real in that element. Enjoy the sneak peek, friends! and Boo! Happy Halloween!

Oh man! What a great time I had visiting friends in Boston last weekend. The weather was something else altogether -- the coldest mid-October they'd had since 1839 -- I'd call that what it is - the kind of weather when you can hear the flapping wings of flying pigs. We had fall color *and* snow! And we had lots of rain and puddles to make a big splash. Good thing we had love to keep us warm. Check out the sneak peek at three absolutely beautiful in every way love-filled families.

When another photographer -- let alone a Houstonian -- seeks you out to take her family's portraits! Sure I was sweating bullets, but we had the best time! We met halfway in the middle between Houston and Austin in the quaint town of Round Top. These photos were actually taken at the beautiful gardens outside the town library. They have a great children's playscape to entertain my sidekick. Kelly's awesome photography site is here, so be sure to check her out! In the meantime, enjoy the sneaky peeky, friends! And always, LOVE BIG!

Saturday Faux-Toes had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting and working with some very beautiful people on Lake Austin. The matriarch was so happy to have everyone in one spot that her smile was infectious. Thank you so much for choosing Faux-Toes, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and what will come to follow in your full gallery.

Boy, oh boy! Where the heck does the time go? I suppose it's out there flying away with those wing-flapping pigs. Some how, some way our little girl turned four and the difference between toddler and kid are ginormous. Every day I love her more. Every day I'm in awe of her resilency and passion for livin' the good life. The kind of life where singing is happening all the time and laughter can be heard ricocheting off the walls. Every day I'm challenged to be a better person and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity. So this entry is for Rosa Jane. How do I love thee, let me count the ways...
I love that when I slept with her this week because she came down with the flu when I woke up before her and just looked at her, the second she opened her eyes she flashed the world's greatest smile at me. A smile cures what ails ya, that's for certain!
Here are some smiles from her last minute thrown together birthday bash when at the 11th hour, momma was starting to feel guilty that we'd planned not a party and instead had hired a DJ for the Dance Off Your Worries party. :-) Thank goodness for such wonderful friends who show up no matter what. We are indeed very blessed.

I can't believe she is 4! It seems like just last year you were pregnant with her and we were having lunch in Charlestown with your mom!

These adorable twins are so precious! They love solving mysteries and are super curious about the world around them. Their mother is totally beautiful on the inside and outside and feeds their curiousity and imagination for life. It was wonderfully inspiring to spend the morning with them on Monday in Old Town Spring. Enjoy the sneaky peeky, friends!
