Fire Up, Buttercup!
Welcome to the wild world of family and children's portrait photography at Faux-Toes {pronounced foh-tohs} where Kristen B. Roedner, pictured left, helps families (spitting images of one another) recognize the beauty before them (without the mess), to give them glimpses into the glorious future and to spread absolute joy. Life is too short, afterall!

Here as in life, anything can happen and that's why the flying pig is the mascot. Faux-Toes is headquartered in Lakeway, Texas some 20 beautiful miles due west of Keep Austin Weird. Call (512) 466-5577 or email kristen@faux-toes.com for more information about getting your "pitcher" took. Thanks for visiting and we hope to hear from you soon!
I'm in love with Summer 2010  in Austin Texas.  The weather has been a bit unpredictable and by that I really mean "normal." Having survived some really blistering temperatures in the past along with a sky that would not rain for years, I'm so happy to be where we are, even if that means putting up with a bit of humidity.  So on this particular day, with the sky full of clouds, the muted light on the trees and the flower blooms bursting with color, I met with a beautiful family at Mayfield Park. Earlier this year, I met Cindy via the Girl Scouts corporate office and it has been such a pleasure working with her on documenting the Girl Scouts at camp. More pictures from those sessions to follow. Cindy's husband just returned  to Fort Hood from deployment. I was so honored to be able to capture this precious family and to convey my gratitude for their service to our country. You are beautiful!  Enjoy the sneak peek!

A little bit about this sweet family. I met the momma this summer at her studio open house in Round Rock. Nicole is a beautiful friend and an especially thoughtful mother.  I've had a great time working with her on various Faux-Toes design projects and am loving seeing what she's creating for my clients and their holiday card needs.  Nicole is definitely your go-to girl for that! Be sure to check out stylevites or more information.

Now picking favorites to share with you in the form of a sneak peek is so hard to do when I've been so very fortunate with amazing clients and friends showing up in front of my lens to partake in beautiful weather and great love showing through and through.  I just can't decide. Seriously... they're all my favorites. So I picked a number one through ten at random and picked these. Thank you, sweet friends, for trusting me to capture these images for you. It is a great honor to me that I don't take lightly.

shines like the brightest jewel among these handsome boys! Miss Lorie creates magic over at the My Time Kids' Gym so it's really no surprise that her family is no less beautiful.  Last Sunday we met up at the Lakeway Church to capture these beautiful spitting images of her family. The boys were so funny -- shadow boxing and telling poopy jokes. Whatever it takes is always my motto. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek at a few of my most favorites. Lots more to come soon!
