Here are some things I love and inspire me:
Some of my favorite photographers are Sally Mann - for her large format documentary of her family (I look at her beautiful work and get teary.), Elliott Erwitt and Martin Parr - for their sense of humor behind the lens - and Mark Tucker - a Nashville friend who first inspired me to see more than meets the eye in an ordinary situation. Tara Whitney - she's a portrait artist in Orange County and I just love the way she sees things and writes and says things like, "when we meet show up with your heart, I can't wait to meet it!" My sentiments exactly... life is too short to be anything else.
One of my favorite coffee table books is The Family of Man - universal emotional images. I just love how we're all connected from all corners of the planet.
Kid music that doesn't make me want to poke my eyes out with sharpened pencils: Elizabeth Mitchell's Catch the Moon, Dan Zanes, Joe McDermott, Sarah Groves' Station Wagon.
Some of my favorite places for kids in Lakeway: MyTime KidsGym, KidsRKids and Cupcakes by the Lake.
